Mid-term Review Meeting of Zhejiang Province "Leading Geese" R&D Projects

On July 26, 2024, the mid-term review meeting of the R&D project titled “Real-time Calculation and Intelligent Control of Carbon Emissions in Multimodal Transportation Networks: Key Technologies and Demonstration Applications” was held at the Haining International Campus of Zhejiang University.

This three-year collaborative project is led by Dr Simon Hu from ZJUI, who plays a pivotal role in steering the project’s direction and progress. The main participants include Dr Zhu Zheng, Dr Cai Zhengyi from the Intelligent Transportation Institute of Zhejiang University, and Mr Zhang and Mr Chen from Enjoyor Technology Co., Ltd.

During the meeting, Dr Simon Hu reported on the project’s research progress and the completion of various indicators. Technical experts—Professor Huang Jing from Zhejiang University of Technology and Senior Engineer Zhang Yicheng from the Zhejiang Modern Smart City Research Institute—provided insightful comments on the project’s advancements. They affirmed the achievements in publications and patents obtained in the first half of the project and suggested accelerating the platform construction process in the second half to ensure successful project acceptance.

Under the leadership of Dr Simon Hu, the project successfully passed the mid-term assessment.

On September 9, 2024, the project “Real-time Calculation and Intelligent Control of Carbon Emissions in Multimodal Transportation Networks: Key Technologies and Demonstration Applications” held a Seond-half Research project meeting at the Haining International Campus of Zhejiang University.

During the meeting, Dr Simon Hu—the project leader—reported on the details and suggestions from the mid-term assessment and outlined the research work planned for the second half of the project. He affirmed the achievements of each sub-project in the first half and expressed hope that the team would continue their efforts to ensure successful final project acceptance.

Subsequently, leaders of the sub-projects summarized their research progress from the first half and presented their plans for the second half. A significant focus of the meeting was the discussion on the joint platform implementation with Enjoyor Technology Co., Ltd. This included in-depth talks on data structure, model algorithms, and platform functionalities.

The project aims to fully leverage the algorithmic models developed in the first half and integrate them into the platform. This integration is crucial for achieving the implementation and application of a real-time carbon emission calculation platform for multimodal transportation networks.
