Expert Review Meeting on the Test Plan for the Zhejiang Province "Leading Geese" R&D Projects

On January 9, 2025, the “Leading Geese” R&D Project in Zhejiang Province hosted an expert review meeting at the Hangzhou Comprehensive Transportation Research Center. The session focused on validating the testing plan for the initiative, “Real-Time Calculation and Intelligent Control of Carbon Emissions in Multimodal Transportation Networks.” Experts assessed the scientific rigor and operational feasibility of the third-party evaluation plan to ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.

Led by Dr. Simon Hu from ZJUI, this three-year collaborative project brings together researchers including Dr. Zhu Zheng and Dr. Cai Zhengyi (Zhejiang University) and partners from Enjoyor Technology Co., Ltd. The project aims to advance carbon emission measurement, optimize transportation modes, and reduce emissions across multimodal networks.

Dr. Hu presented the testing plan, highlighting the project’s progress and achievements. Key metrics such as transportation mode accuracy, traffic status identification, improved vehicle speeds, and emission reductions have already been reflected in publications, patents, and software copyrights.

Expert feedback emphasized enhancing simulation-integrated testing methods, refining definitions in project terms, and strengthening freight module integration to align with the project’s core goals. The expert panel unanimously approved the testing plan, commending its clarity, scientific approach, and comprehensive coverage of technical indicators.

This milestone ensures the project is well-positioned for successful completion and final acceptance.
